Guide Rings and Tape provide the function of resistance to deformation due to the pressure under radial load and drive the piston and the rod within the hydraulic / pneumatic device reducing the friction between the moving parts.Without the Guide Rings the metal contact with the cylinder head would cause the deterioration of the system. Guide Rings are used to replace the traditional bronze bush in hydraulic / pneumatic cylinders in conditions of insufficient lubrication.
