Gland packing braided by aramid filament yarn, impregnated with PTFE. 
The basic material for the production of this packing - aramid fibre - is a synthetic fibre that has very good strength characteristics.
Application
AVKOPACK® 1201 wears out very slowly, even while working in conditions of very high pressure. The packing has a wide application in the low-temperature range of up to 280oC.
The packing may be used for sealing in a broad nomenclature of chemical aggressive environments, as well as in water and steam up to 280oC.
The fields of usage are in sealing installations and equipment in the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil refining and food processing industries, in the chemical departments of the power supplying industry, metallurgy, etc.
Advantages
Because of the aramid fibre the packing may be widely used in sealing installations with high pressure and
in heavy conditions. The impregnation with PTFE permits that the packing is used in rotary - pumps, but its main application is in the piston - pumps.
